I was born into, and grew up surrounded by, a family of artists and educators. For as long as I can remember, I was enchanted by the practice --and the idea-- of making things, and inviting others to do so. To me, art is the utmost sacred possibility of relating and communicating with others through autonomous languages. Art has allowed me to connect with people through time and across the world.
I have worked on painting, drawing, collage, mixed media, printmaking and photography. With the awareness of more than 40,000 years of culture behind us, from the cave paintings to our day, and because I have been exposed to art all my life, I believe my work consists of poetic evocations of nature and culture. Usually made up of deconstructions and layers, my work is a dialogue with everything that I have seen, what I live and experience.
